Do I need my T-Mobile account details?

I bought the phone second-hand and the account was never mine.
That is fine, and it is exactly the case carriers refuse. We do not need the account holder, the account number or any permission from them — only the IMEI.

What if the phone is reported lost or stolen?

My phone says "Unlock Failed" in the Device Unlock app. What does this mean?
This usually means your device has not yet met the carrier's unlocking requirements or the unlock request has not been completed. Our service will let you know when your device is eligible to retry the unlock and can change the status for you.
Will I need to use the Device Unlock app after my unlock is completed?
